Hi sisters in Kinta
I have just added this page so that all of us can share what we have been doing or have done in the name of girl guiding.
You are welcome to send in your stories and pictures. I really need all of you out there. At my age, I can easily forget how to go about building and maintaing this site.
To start off with, last Friday 11 July, a few AJK Kinta guiders, I drove up to visit the Kem Bina Negara Campsite at Ulu Kenas. We got lost but as girl guides we found our way though an hour late for the meeting. We were a bit embrassed as we did not expect such a crowd of our sisters from KLHQ and Perak and two reps from Kem Bina. The place is beautiful and hearing the sound of the waterfall really relaxes our nerves.
I think I will suggest to our Kinta DC to have a short course there in future. Got to go for class. Please response.

Kursus Bakal Jurulatih Dan Persidangan Kejurulatihan
PPPM 15-19 Disember 2008
Four Kinta adult leaders (including me) attended last December Potential Trainers' and Trainers' Training at Institut Aminuddin Baki ,Genting Highland. We did a lot of brainstorming and discussion on what we are doing currently in Malaysia so that we could bring girl guiding in Malayisa to a greater height.
As adult leaders or guiders we now have to play the role of a coach and mentor to help our younger generation to realise their potential in leadership so that our voices can be heard loud and clear through WAGGGS' GAT( Global Action Themes).
We were also exposed to using IT for girl guiding activiites and a lot of reflections. Singing the song 'Hero' was a great challenge to many of us ( see..not many of us have half of Maria Carey muscial talent) but with the meaningful lyrics, we sang like no body business...the girl guide way.
And not forgetting the climbing of steps a few times a day ..
(114 steps if i am not mistaken)... and can you imagine the picture of golden girls in blue kebaya and high heels making their way up...
Well, till here for today.

At NUR LEMBAH LENGGONG,PERAK 17th-19 July
13 Kinta Pandu Puteri Tunas joined others from Perak went for a fun and challenging weekend at Nur Lembah Lenggong. The Kinta PPT were ferried there in 4 cars. A pleasant drive all the way except the entrance to Nur Lembah Lenggong which was rough and that was where the excitment started.
Upon registration the PPT were briefed by our Camp Commandent Kak Setia Puan Tee Huey Kee. Our little sisters set up thier own dome tent for two with instructions given. Bravo to them as to many, this was the first tent they had ever set up.
and the final result...
A CAMPSITE
Little heads hard at work together with mama dearah for the best patrol lyrics to express the spirit of Pandu Puteri Tunas.
The highlights began the new day with Jungle Trekking. The PPTunas young and old braved the walk through with excitment.
Obstacles ! No problem! We are girl guides, you see.
